- All scanned documents are kept for a period of ten years.
- Most manufacturers require 2 - 3 years.
- Most states require 7 years for repair facilities.
- Some dealers request 10 years when manufacturer has 10 year warranty.
- We keep two backup copies, one at a secure off-site location where it is stored encrypted.
- The other backup copy is kept at our business office on a secure server also stored encrypted.
Scanned Documents Belong to Dealership
- All scanned documents belong to dealership.
- In case of service termination, dealerhip receives all scanned copies at no extra charge.
